Vibra Hospital of Southeastern MA is a 90-bed JCAHO accredited Long Term Acute Care Hospital serving patients with traumatic injuries, complex medical conditions, including aggressive ventilator weaning, tracheotomy care, osteomyelitis care, traumatic brain injury, bariatric care, acute and chronic dialysis, specialized wound care, cardiac and respiratory care. Vibra Hospital is conveniently located in the far north end of New Bedford on a residential neighborhood near the Freetown line, offers 24-hour/seven day/week physician availability, occupational, physical and speech therapy. Vibra Hospital also offers Volumetric Capnography, a non-invasive monitoring technology which decreases ventilator weaning time. For 2018, the weaning rate was 96% and it took less than 14 days on average to liberate a patient from the ventilator. Patients are typically transferred from acute-care hospitals in Boston, Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts, including Cape Cod, Plymouth and the islands.
