Are you facing challenges with talent acquisition?  Are you finding it difficult to identify individuals with the skills you need?  Do you have a need to upgrade the skill sets of your existing staff but lack the resources to do so?  To learn about possible solutions to your workforce needs, please join Tom Perreira, Executive Director of the MassHire Bristol Workforce Board, for a workshop on the assistance that can be provided through the Massachusetts workforce development system.  This workshop will include information about no cost hiring assistance through the region?s MassHire Career Centers, numerous grant opportunities available to businesses to support talent pipeline development and incumbent worker training, hiring tax credits and other programs that can help you address your workforce needs.

Tom Perreira is the Executive Director of the MassHire Bristol Workforce Board, a private sector led Board of education, business, labor and community based organization executives responsible for policy and oversight of the region's public workforce development system.  Mr. Perreira coordinates the Board's activities including the development of the regional Workforce Development Business Plan, convening regional partnerships to develop and implement workforce development initiatives and ensuring quality services to area employers and job seekers.  Mr. Perreira has more than 30 years of Workforce Development experience.  Prior to his service as Executive Director, he served as Director of Planning for the Workforce Board and Assistant Planner for the Bristol County Training Consortium with responsibility for oversight of government funded workforce development contracts.  Mr. Perreira began his career in workforce development as an assessment counselor at the Fall River Career Center, helping economically disadvantaged adults, dislocated workers and at-risk youth access education, training and employment opportunities.
