Since taking office in 2012, Jon Mitchell has pursued an ambitious, wide-ranging agenda to promote job growth, reform our public schools, modernize our port, and solidify the downtown?s status as the cultural and economic center of the entire region.
The Mayor has accomplished a great deal over the past six years, and the pace of change he has brought to the City has only accelerated over the past year.

Mayor Jon Mitchell will deliver his State of the City Address over lunch on Thursday, March 28, 2019.

Each year, the Mayor delivers the State of the City address detailing past accomplishments, goals, planned policies and objectives for the largest city in the region for the coming year. Nearly 500 business, community, media, and political leaders are expected to attend this luncheon program.
