Compassion Fatigue, Burnout and Secondary Trauma
This seminar will cover what supervisors can do to help staff members who may be experiencing compassion fatigue, burnout and secondary trauma. We will learn strategies to develop effective self-care. along with learning about foods that can help people beat depression.

Family Service Association, founded in 1888 under its original name Associated Charities, is one of the Greater Fall River community's first organized charitable organizations. Today, the agency continues to serve individuals and families, led by a volunteer Board of Directors as well as a team of professional administrators, social workers, nurses, case managers, and other staff who implement FSA?s many programs and services. Our current service menu includes behavioral health and other clinical programs, as well as specialized services for children, adults, and elders. The menu of is quite varied and comprehensive, serving diverse populations within the community.
About the Speaker:

Derek Foulds is Vice President of Community Support Services at Family Service Association of Greater Fall River (FSA). He has over 28 years of experience in Human Services, with emphasis as Vice President, Director of In Home Therapy, Assistant Clinical Director for Outpatient Services, Clinical Supervisor, Trainer, Group Facilitator and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Derek has worked at FSA for 22 years.
