GMSC! - Small Business of the Year - June 2011
Join us for the June edition of Good Morning SouthCoast!
Keynote Speaker: The Honorable Scott Brown, United States Senator
Senator Brown, was elected by the people of Massachusetts on January 19, 2010, to fill the term of the late Senator Ted Kennedy. He serves on the Senate Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
Brown began his career in public service as an assessor and then a selectman in the town of Wrentham. He went on to serve five years as a State Representative before being elected three times to the Massachusetts Senate. Senator Brown is a graduate of Wakefield High School, Tufts University, and Boston College Law School.
The Small Business of the Year Award, sponsored by BankFive, is presented at the breakfast. The Chamber recognizes a small business that demonstrates creativity and imagination in the development of its business or in its product or service; exhibits growth in the number of employees and/or client base; and reflects social responsibility in its employee relations, community involvement, and efforts to encourage workforce and management diversity. Nominees will also be recognized at the breakfast!
The Good Morning SouthCoast program is not a typical Chamber event, but rather a high-profile, fast-paced, and educational program geared towards executives, senior managers, professionals, and small business owners.
