Destination New Bedford Hospitality Training
Destination New Bedford Hospitality Training is a FREE, interactive program designed to educate, train and support employees working in Greater New Bedford's hospitality related businesses. This program empowers employees to become better informed about New Bedford and all the city has to offer. The hospitality industry consists of a broad section of fields within the service industry including lodging, restaurants, event planning, transportation, entertainment and activities.
Why Participate: We're equipping our customer service and hospitality workers with the most current information about our city and regional attractions, and showing them how to serve it up with a smile. Please encourage your staff to attend this training. A well-trained staff and happy customers mean a better experience for visitors to our community which in turn leads to more businesses and increased profits!
The program is sponsored by Destination New Bedford, New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, Bristol Community College, the Southeastern Massachusetts Convention & Visitors Bureau and the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.
Who Should Attend: Retail clerks, waitresses, waiters, front line staff, servers, hosts, visitor services, tour guides, seasonal workers, supervisors, assistant managers, managers and anyone who wants to provide superior customer service in hospitality services.
