DESCRIPTION:**REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED**\n\n\n\nJoin One SouthCoast Chamber\n\nfor the\n\nRoger Valcourt Outstanding Citizen Dinner Honoring\n\nJim Wallace\n\n\n\nJim is a life-long banker who began his career in 1982 working for Bank of New England. Accumulating over 40 years of experience since then\, he has held several positions in accounting\, information management\, and bank operations for a number of local financial institutions before joining BayCoast Bank in 1990 as their Internal Auditor. Jim served as the Bank's Comptroller before being appointed to Senior Vice President\, Chief Financial Officer in 2006. He now serves as their Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer where Jim is responsible for effectively growing the Bank and its subsidiaries\, and to drive the strategic direction of the organization. Jim's management and contributions have proven successful as BayCoast Bank has seen significant growth under his leadership.\n\n\n\nJim is also a longtime supporter of our local community serving as a Board and Finance Committee member for the United Way of Greater Fall River\, People Incorporated\, the Greater Fall River Development Corporation\, and the Arc of Greater Plymouth. In addition\, Jim coaches for the Special Olympics and Downey Baseball's Bambino Buddy Ball\, which is a program designed to help special needs children enjoy the full benefits of playing baseball in an athletic environment tailored to their abilities.\n\n\n\nJim attended Bentley University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and is also a graduate of the ACB National School of Banking. Jim and his wife Lynn reside in Halifax\, Massachusetts and have two sons\, Christopher\, and Matthew.\n\n \nThe Outstanding Citizen Award was named in memory of Roger Valcourt. Mr. Valcourt passed away very suddenly in 1979. He was a person who bestowed great character and commitment to community along with a reputation for excellence.
