DESCRIPTION:Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework that has been a component of NBPS' Accelerated Improvement Plan since at least 2013.  PBIS applies the science and principles of behavior analysis (ABA) to a 3-tiered system that allows ALL students participate! At their school\, students earn "Star Coins" when they demonstrate our STAR behavior expectations by Showing Kindness\, Taking Responsibility\, Acting Safely and Respecting Everyone.  \n\n			 \n\n			With that being said\, they are excited to expand their Tier 1 PBIS initiatives with the addition of its School Store! Not only will students continue to earn group incentives upon reaching 100 Star Coins\, but now\, they will also have the opportunity to exchange their individually earned Star Coins for tangible rewards and items found at their school store!\n\n			 \n\n			The PBIS goal is to "catch them being good" at least every half hour!  That means\, by the end of the day\, each teacher and staff will have passed out at least 12 Star Coins to 12 different students who were "caught" demonstrating STAR behaviors!
