DESCRIPTION:This seminar is an introduction to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for owners and managers of small to mid-size businesses. The presentation is intended to help participants gain an understanding of OSHA operations and procedures and learn how they can work with OSHA to prevent or reduce injuries and illnesses in their workplaces. Included in the seminar is information on the background of OSHA standards\, the inspection process\, implementing a safety and health program\, and assistance available to small and mid-size businesses.\n\n	The seminar will cover:\n\n	\n		OSHA's role in the prevention and elimination of work related illnesses and injuries.\n	\n		Employer and employee rights and responsibilities.\n	\n		The process of workplace inspection.\n	\n		Differentiation between willful\, repeated\, and serious violations.\n	\n		Recognition of OSHA as a primary resource for content and consultation.\n	\n		Practice for efficiently locating information in OSHA standards.\n\n\n	About the Speaker\n\n	Mr. Bianco's strong background in construction - and specialized expertise in environmental\, maritime and emergency response programs - make him a valuable asset in his role as the Technical Director where he manages a team of in house professionals as well as outside consultants. Currently Marc assists hundreds of private and public construction clients throughout the tri-state area and New England in achieving their safety and risk management goals through proactive initiatives and on-site performance improvements.
