DESCRIPTION:The One SouthCoast Women's Forum is the ideal setting for leading business professionals and aspiring women in business to connect\, learn and be inspired by other women! This unique event celebrates the accomplishments of women while motivating other women to follow their example.\n\nWe choose Keynote Speakers who are examples of women who have bravely pushed for initiative\, entered new markets and advocate for forward thinking industries.\n\nThis year\, we will have the pleasure of hearing from State Representative Carole Fiola.\n\n\n\n\n\nBorn and raised in Fall River\, Representative Carole Fiola is a proud Durfee Hilltopper and went on to receive her Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Marketing Communications.\n\n \n\nAfter a robust career in marketing and communications\, which included being the Marketing Communications Manager for a division of Pfizer and the General Manager and Vice President at WSAR radio\, Representative Fiola went on to run and get elected as Governor's Council in 2001 and held the position for 5 terms.\n\n \n\nAfter a short break from elected office\, she was sworn in as State Representative of the 6th Bristol District in 2013. She was the 183rd female legislator in the Massachusetts Legislature and is now serving her 5th term while serving as House Chair on the Committee on Tourism\, Arts and Cultural Development and a member on the Special Committee on Redistricting and Reapportionment.\n\n She proudly serves the 6th Bristol District and prioritizes constituent services\, advocating for local funding and projects and supporting women in all areas of her work.
