DESCRIPTION:This popular breakfast series is a high-profile\, fast-paced and educational program geared towards executives\, senior managers\, professionals and small business owners. Each of the programs has a business-oriented focus and features a popular speaker to present on a topic of interest to local businesses. The Good Morning SouthCoast! breakfast program is also a great way to network with other Chamber members!\n\n\n\nThe featured speaker for the September edition is Stephanie Pollack\, MassDOT Secretary and Chief Executive Officer. Governor Charlie Baker appointed Stephanie Pollack\, MassDOT Secretary and Chief Executive Officer effective January 13\, 2015. Prior to joining MassDOT\, Secretary Pollack worked for and contributed to Northeastern University\, as both a professor and as Associate Director of Research for the Kitty & Michael Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy. Before coming to Northeastern\, Secretary Pollack served as a senior executive and attorney at the Conservation Law Foundation\, New England's leading environmental advocacy organization.\n\n\n\nUnder Secretary Pollack's leadership\, MassDOT will continue to research and adopt new ways to further the Commonwealth's transportation needs. Secretary Pollock will be charged with revitalizing the MBTA\, the highways and bridges\, and all other vital Massachussetts transportation.\n\n\n\nSecretary Pollack received both a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and BS in Public Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology\, and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School\, in 1982 and 1985 respectively.
