DESCRIPTION:WE NEED YOUR HELP! \n\nNeeded: Leaders who can present a dynamic\, fun\, fast-paced workshop that helps eighth/ninth graders see the importance of their educational choices in life\, both now and in the future.\n\n\n\nBecome a CHOICES presenter. CHOICES focuses on academic self-discipline\, time and money management\, and goal setting. Business and community volunteers deliver the CHOICES workshop that consists of two 50 minute class periods delivered on two consecutive days. Engaging activities and teen-friendly props help students get the message loud and clear. The workshop is flexible so each volunteer can add their own personality and experiences to the material.\n\n\n\nPresenter Traits: Comfortable with public speaking\, are passionate about the success of our youth and are interested in education\, are organized and creative and who can donate approximately 5 hours of their time to the workshop. This includes presenter training (3 hours) and presenting the full workshop (2 hours). Presenters are encouraged to practice the presentation before their first workshop and to work in pairs to allow for variety and sharing of the workload.
