DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday\, April 29\, 2024 at\n\nCountry Club of New Bedford\n\nfor our Annual Chamber Invitational Golf Tournament\n\n\n\nRegistration: 9 am\n\nShotgun Start: 10 am\n\n\n\nProceeds from this event will help support the efforts of One SouthCoast Chamber in our mission to advocate for business advancement\, economic growth\, and job creation for the benefit and the SouthCoast region.\n\n\n\n The Cost per Golfer is $250  \n\nThe tournament will be played in a Scramble format with prizes awarded to the top three teams. The event includes lunch\, a golf cart\,18-holes of golf\, a golfer's gift bag\, prizes and much more!\n\n \n\n\nCommunity Leadership Award\n\nThis achievement recognizes an individual who has supported the development of the SouthCoast both civically and economically. \n\n \n\n\n\n\nChristian T. McCloskey\n\nChristian McCloskey is the Youth Services Coordinator for the City of Fall River. Mr. McCloskey has over 30 years of experience working with the young people in Fall River and brings together the social service\, law enforcement\, education\, and business communities to increase positive youth development. Mr. McCloskey administers the Fall River Shannon Community Safety Initiative and the Safe and Successful Youth Initiative and co-chairs the Fall River Youth Violence Prevention Task Force. \n\n  \n\nHe has collaborated on numerous projects and initiatives\, including\, Mayor's Youth Forum\, Team FRESH\, Fall River Youth of the Year\, Youth Bill of Rights\, Youth and Candidate's Night\, Police and Public Palooza\, Make a Difference Day\, Absolutely Incredible Kid Day\, Read Across America\, High 5 Day\, and Heroes of Peace. These collaborations helped Fall River receive national recognition: 100 Best Communities for Young People (2008\, 2011 and 2012) All-America City (2016).  \n\n \n\nMr. McCloskey was born and raised in Fall River where he attended Fall River Public Schools.  He is a proud Northeastern University graduate with a degree in Criminal Justice\, and holds a JD from Suffolk University Law. He is a past recipient of the John S. Brayton Jr. Memorial Community Service Award (2019)\, Rev. Dr. Robert P. Lawrence Humanitarian Award (2018) and the St. Vincent's Home Mission Statement Award (2001). \n\n  \n\nIn addition to being the Youth Services Coordinator\, he works part time at the St. Vincent's Home for Children where he has worked since 1991 and he is the sole-proprietor of McCloskey's Irish Pub.  He is a member of the Rotary\, Elks and Lions Clubs of Fall River. He has partnered with Mesa 21 on such initiatives as the Fore G Open and Hope for the Holidays in order to provide opportunities for others to give back to the community. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJeffrey Pagliuca\n\nJeffrey Pagliuca is a Senior Vice-President\, Commercial Lending Team Leader with Bristol County Savings Bank.  In this capacity\, Pagliuca is responsible for the development and management of commercial banking relationships across the South Coast of Massachusetts and works out of the Bank's Candleworks Office in downtown New Bedford.  He has worked in similar banking roles across the South Coast business community since 2000.\n\n \n\nDuring his career\, he has worked with thousands of small businesses across the region\, and developed a knowledge base of expertise within the seafood industry.  Many of the small business owners he has assisted over the past two decades have developed from their infancy into some of the regions' leading businesses.  He is a true advocate for small businesses across the region.\n\n \n\nActive in the community\, Pagliuca has served as a Board Member of the Chamber since 2012 and has served in various prior roles such as the Vice-Chair of Membership\, Executive Committee\, Chair of the Ambassadors Committee and has served as the Chair of numerous membership campaigns. He also serves on the Board of the New Bedford Economic Development Council and is the Chair of their Small Business Loan Committee\; the Board of the Greater New Bedford Industrial Park Foundation and the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center.  He served prior Board roles at South Coast Community Foundation\, WHALE\, SEED Corp and the Taunton Redevelopment Authority.\n\n \n\nPagliuca is a licensed Massachusetts attorney earning his Juris Doctor degree from University of Massachusetts Law School in Dartmouth and his bachelor's degree from Worcester State University\, Worcester\, Massachusetts.
