DESCRIPTION:The Chamber's Annual Meeting and Business Luncheon is an opportunity to join other business and community leaders and celebrate business people working together for the future of Greater New Bedford.\n\n			\n\n			Held annually in November\, the luncheon's keynote speaker presents an interesting and inspiring presentation focused around business growth. The program also includes the election of the Chamber's Board of Directors\, recognition of outgoing board members\, and the presentation of several Chamber and community awards.\n\n			                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Keynote Speaker:\n\n			\n\n			John Harthorne\, Founder and CEO\n\n			MassChallenge will present "Restoring Creativity to the Soul of America"\n\n			\n\n			About the Speaker:\n\n			MassChallenge is a startup accelerator and competition designed to catalyze a startup renaissance by connecting high-impact startups from around the world with the resources they need to launch and succeed. In the first 12 months since joining the 2010 MassChallenge accelerator program\, the inaugural group of 111 MassChallenge startups raised over $100 million in outside funding and created nearly 500 new jobs.\n\n			\n\n			John received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2007. In September 2011\, Boston Business Journal identified John as one of Boston's 50 Most Influential Business Leaders. John is a life-long Massachusetts resident and currently lives in Somerville.
